Lucie and her partner Mike Wood have had a love affair with Marrakech for the past 16 years. Together they have renovated and designed 5 riad hotels in the heart of the Marrakech medina. These buildings are extraordinarily beautiful as they have a garden courtyard that is open to the skies. At night when the roof closing may be closed guests can enjoy the garden roof terrace looking at the stars. Marrakech is full of vibrant colours, sensual fabrics and materials and a cornucopia of handcrafted wares and so it is a huge pleasure to dress up these buildings to make them comfortable and magical homes to stay in. We like all of our guests to feel deeply relaxed and peaceful as they connect with and discover this incredible city for the first time. Making our hotels welcoming places is an important part of that. The medina is full of hussle and bustle, colours, smells and sights assault the senses but as soon as you return to the riad you are welcomed with a warm smile and an offer of a refreshing mint tea.
